from stage to page is an artist led initiative, focusing on the Greek dance scene.

Choreographers and dance practitioners write about their work sharing their practices, dance theorists are invited to share their views on this initiative and the development of the Greek dance scene. 

from stage to page interviews choreographers since 2011, it is an ongoing project. Interviews of choreographers (established and newcomers), updates from previous interviewees,  including entries from dance theorists are collected in volumes and  published digitally.

from stage to page in fact questions whether there is a Greek dance scene or not. For a scene to be located and identified, someone needs to write about it and in this case it is the artists themselves. Is there a need for a dance community as we continue to create independently as individuals? What is the visibility of the work being produced in Greece? Who are our peers? In this digital platform a community is slowly growing, the artists meet and exchange in it.  

An open call to choreographers and dance practitioners was sent out in 2011 inviting artists to write about their work and how they make work. Dance theorists were invited to write about the Greek dance scene or reflect on the contents of from stage to page. This ongoing open call invites texts in any or all of these categories: works/why/how/method/process/theory/manifesto/image/quote/interview.

When sending material please include your contact details, email and website info. Photographs should be sent as separate jpg files with the title of the work and the name of the photographer. Don’t forget to forward the information to colleagues, artists or theorists who would like to contribute.

Το from stage to page,  διερωτάται ποιά είναι η ελληνική χορού και ταυτόχρονα είναι μια προσπάθεια να τοποθετήσουμε στο χάρτη την ελληνική σκηνή σύγχρονου χορού. Στόχος είναι να επικοινωνήσουμε και να διατυπώσουμε την ελληνική δημιουργία και παραγωγή στον σύγχρονο χορό και για αυτό το λόγο όλα τα κείμενα είναι στα αγγλικά.

προς όλους τους χορογράφους, δημιουργούς στην Ελλάδα

Το from stage to page είναι μια διαδικτυκή πλατφόρμα στην οποία χορογράφοι και δημιουργοί γράφουν για τον τρόπο δουλειάς τους και το έργο τους. Πως κάνουμε ο,τι κάνουμε, γιατί, ποιοί είμαστε.
Τα κείμενα διατυπώνουν στο γραπτό λόγο, τον τρόπο που δημιουργείτε, σκέψεις για τα έργα σας ή για το χορό και μπορούν να ανήκουν σε κάποια ή σε όλες τις παρακάτω κατηγορίες:

Μανιφέστο/ Μέθοδοι και πρακτικές/ Self interview- συνέντευξη στον εαυτό μου / Καλλιτεχνική Έρευνα/ θεωρητικά κείμενα που εμπνέουν το έργο μου/ Σκεπτικό της δουλειάς- ομάδας- έργου/ Φράσεις που με εμπνέουν

Στείλτε με μειλ στο fromstagetopage@gmail.com, κείμενα και εικόνες για δημοσίευση. Συμπεριλάβετε τα στοιχεία επικοινωνίας της ομάδας /δημιουργού (μειλ και ιστοσελίδα). Οι φωτογραφίες να αποστέλλονται ως ξεχωριστά αρχεία τύπου jpg, μαζί με τον τίτλο της χορογραφίας και το όνομα του φωτογράφου. Προωθήστε ελεύθερα τις πληροφορίες σε συναδέλφους δημιουργούς και θεωρητικούς.
